Hey everyone,
I have been nearing this goal for some time (a few times coming within fractions) so this is somewhat anti-climactic, but it's always nice when we cross the finish line of a goal we have placed for ourselves.
On July 24, 2011 - I stepped on a scale with the goal of losing 75 pounds.
On July 24, 2011 - I weighed 254.0 pounds.
Today, I just got on the scale and I now weigh 178.4 pounds.
There are plenty of ways to lose weight, but the two things that have worked for me are Atkins and C25K. I recommend both wholeheartedly (just be mindful to take precautions for electrolytes).
Along the way, I decided to achieve a new goal: a healthy BMI. I don't even know if that is possible because I haven't weighed what the Body Mass Index says is "healthy" for me since I was in the 10th grade, but I'm going to give it a try. I'll let you know in 20 more pounds if I can get there.
